This is the README file for LOG.EXE which contains LOGIN.EXE Version 3.71 which replaces LOGIN.EXE v3.52 that ships with NNS v1.0 for NetWare v2.15C and above and NetWare v3.x. The following files are included for this revision: LOGIN.EXE 177819 03-08-93 8:45a LOG.TXT this file Purpose: 1) LOGIN.EXE Version 3.71 supports NCP Packet Signature. 2) LOGIN.EXE Version 3.71 corrects a problem with the "EXIT" command in a login script. Earlier versions of LOGIN.EXE for NNS would place a in the keyboard buffer whenever an "EXIT" command was issued in a login script. When LOGIN.EXE Version 3.71 encounters an "EXIT" command in the login script it does the following: EXIT "MENU" Places the string "MENU" and a into the keyboard buffer, then terminates execution of the LOGIN.EXE program. EXIT "" Terminates execution of the LOGIN.EXE program. (The keyboard buffer is not modified). EXIT Terminates execution of the LOGIN.EXE program. (The keyboard buffer is not modified). 3) LOGIN.EXE Version 3.71 corrects a problem with the ACCESS_SERVER identifier variable in a login script. Earlier versions of LOGIN.EXE for NNS would not recognize the ACCESS_SERVER identifier variable in a login script. LOGIN.EXE Version 3.71 will correctly recognize the ACCESS_SERVER identifier variable in a login script.
